ok I did not enter into the spirit of  blog writing today, cos i just didn't. but I am now...We have had a little competition on board to see who will win the best limerick competition,  we would like your vote and all you have to do say whos your prefer,  it is only a bit of fun,,, no prize money...

By the way Amanda Hammond has set the standard and jsut to recap this is from amanda

There once was two fit men from Surrey
Who set off across the pond in a hurry
They rowed for a bit....
Then took off their kit
Because chafing was a bit of a worry.

amanda is not in the competition because she is a limerickicist.. this was just an example of how it should be done..

anyway this is my ditty

there was young man called steve
who decided to row the atlantic for a weeze
Along came Richard keen to give it a go
So off he went to learn to row

they left the shores of la gomera
once the weather had become much fairer
now mid atlantic they can be found
only to find they are anchor bound

oh dear, oh dear what a blow!
never mind, never mind Ho Ho Ho,
for three more days they must sit
in this same damn spot

oh what a .... nuisance

now richards turn.....

Two normal blokes once had a notion,
to transverse a rather big ocean
On day twenty four...
...the wind direction was poor
And arrested all westerly motion

On Monday the winds reinstated,
and the boat was all West motivated
Set off towards home....
'cross the Atlantic foam
Their bodies all re..juvinated
