we have now been on the water for the 9th day and the routine is now in place.oh. again we seem to have clocked up some good mileage which in the early stages of the race is fortunate.. once in the lower latitudes the winds are more prevalent.. it has seemed up till two three days ago every mile was hard fought for. information from home is the highlight of our day. for lucj today i had shepless pie follwed by custard and pineapple peices.  ideal weather for hot food ,. we are maintaining our routine which adds structure to the day and night. a necessity. our view of the sea appears barren and devoid of any life which we know is not true,, if only we could see more of it.. perhaps as our journey proceeds more will become apparent.. our little sea bird kev flew right infront of my nose the other night.. not by accident cos his flying skill is far better than to crash in me...  each day and each shift, although the seas are much the same the thoughts offer a different scene to each occassion,,sounds bizaar but true... sometimes you are rowing down hill, other times around the side and other times down... who ever said water finds its own level.. i wish this would, just for 5 mins... those ancient  marinerers must have been bonkers to think the world was flat... its always up and down....
today i would like to say hello to katie and james jordan, holly and louis. Now wave heights today are about 2 Olivers + 1jeremy high... thanks Luke for your email, our aim is to safely cross first and win second.... mmmmm thats a tough one ....
