Not far to go,,, mmmmmmmmmmmm

Just another perspective,, and not meaning to sound ungrateful for all the moral support we are getting but....

has anybody reading this blog ever walked in one hit the distance from London to Cardiff and back again?

Thats the approx' distance we have left to row..  I am trying desperately hard to put a positive spin on the amount to travel, and relative to the amount we have done so far (approx 2500miles) it is not much. But, from where I am sitting,  I can't help thinking it is still a long way to row.

We await with baited breath the weather that is long long overdue,, We have become so sceptical, we just refuse to believe it and prepare ourselves for continued unassisted rowing,,,,

thats a real downer of a blog,,, but dont worry I am feeling just great,,,

ps..
Fish are jumping tonight..
Water temperature is a cool/warm 20c and tastes great (honestly)after being sqeezed at great pressure through our Katadyn water maker to remove the salts. Also, now tucking into our spare food rations.

Time for tea so gotta go,, thinking of you all back home and missing you ,,,

Rich....
Here's my spin on the distance to go...I can almost smell the coconut oil in the suntan lotion ;-)I'm always one to look at the data that I record in our log book time/lat/long/distance to Antigua and draw conclusions (don't tell Steve). We've had periods where we have knocked distances like this out of the park in the mere blink of an eye and I feel it's within our grasp. The data has been squirreled away for weeks now and that's what convinces me that I will see my wife an kids by the 24th on the quayside at Nelsons Dockyard in Antingua when a sun-tanned hairy beardy thin ginger man gets off this little yellow boat and re-enters reality.
Setting myself up for disappointment? perhaps...being foolishly optimistic? perhaps...guilty on wanting to see this end? oh yes.
No I don't think that we will get perfect trade winds to bkow us home in 48hours...more of the same perhaps, but even with this..I will see my family and that's the main thing :-)
