We are still inside Minerva Reef. We were hoping to leave this morning, but
the weather is still atrocious. It is blowing around 30 kts from the NE and
that is exactly the direction we have to go. Nothing but grey skies, rain
and howling wind around us. Oh yes, the reef, of course, to protect us from
the big waves outside. But even inside it is getting a bit choppy. Still the
only boat in here, but we would rather be tucked away in here than out there
having to endure it. We know at least of one boat who must be out there,
battling the elements. So we feel happy to be inside our protected anchorage
and hope to be able to leave tomorrow.
Cheers from the grey reef area,
Geoff & Merel
