We arrived to a  new anchorage in front of the Cartagena.

We’ve passed Cartagena multiple times, put I’ve never stopped…
I was thinking that it is a huge busy port, with no anchorages,  need to go into one of the marina’s….

The reality appears to be quite different…  The harbour itself — I should say, the bay — is  big indeed.  But monst of it is dedicated for commercial ships anchorage…  May be it was a ’special time’, but most of the bay was empty, with couple of ships here and there… As we were going to the place, where the friends were waiting for us — I’ve seen a couple of places with cruising boats anchored…

So, on approach,  the friends came on dinghy to meet us, boarded  Eleonora,  show the place to drop the anchor… and right in time — the party  has started!
That is how the arrivals should be done!  ;-)

Everything is okt.  I’m planning to stay there for a couple of days.  Mainly — because I’m hoping to get the better weather for keeping going to Baleares….
As waiting — some jobs to do  from the endless list — aka checking the dinghy,  cleaning computers, etc, etc, etc….

Talk soon,
Michael
