Nov. 15th... On a way to Almerimar; Mazzaron bay… On anchor…

37:31.602N 001:12.076W UTC 0030 Mazzaron bay… On anchor… The last couple of hours has been a run to Mazzaron bay! Nice and beautiful sailing at the beginning. Strong winds behind with the following seas… The way — how gently the seas were handling the boat, and the grace, with which the boat was handling the seas… made myself a very happy camper, and very proud of the boat! After previous hours of beating against the seas and waves — the quick ride to the protected bay ( at about 7.5 knots average ) — was haven! The life got beautiful colours again — dark sky, full of stars, the shore line with sporadic lights of settlements…. So, I made a quick clean-up — remove extra lines, closed yankee ( it was doing nothing with this wind direction), clean up a bit inside the boat… and sit on the deck enjoying the progress… With that speed — I was dreaming — we should be in the Mazzaron bay pretty soon… But I knew well — the reality would be different, soon the wind would go down, and so we would slow down too… A bit more then the hour… The wind went down… and the speed moved to slow 4 knots, 3 knts… And we are getting back to arrival in 3 hours, 4 hours… The only good part about it — the swell went down too… So, the motor has been started. And we progressing with the 5 knts… Arriving to the bay… Last time come here, in May, there was a huge ‘fish farm’ on the entry, protected by the cardinal buys… All that — has gone… But the fear from the last time, then I’ve nearly got into those nets — triggered to go around the area anyway… ;-) The wind gone nearly completely… But the swell…. Because it getting much shallower in the bay — the swell increased… Up to 1 meter… the current allocating the boat abeam to it… Making the boat to roll… I know that without wind — it will disappear soon… And at thin point — I do not really care…. Suddenly felt really tired… Forget about averything… All things — in the morning, after the Sun rise… Cleaning, verifying the weather, etc… Now — sleep!
