On port side, abeam — Figueira Da Foz.
My understanding is — it is the Rio Mondego — the largest ( longest ?) river in Portugal. And the place where it is reaching the ocean — Figueira Da Foz…
Why is it famous ?
I do not know. From the cruising prospective — I think the most important part is location or a distance from the Leixoes… It is a full day of sailing, and it is roughly in the ‘middle’ to Lisbon… ( Cascais…. ) At least, I’m hoping so! ;-)

Why are we passing by no-stopping ? Because there is no anchorage at that place. And I do not want to go into marina… So, we will keep going, crossing our fingers that the wind will hold to some reasonable value, and the swell — will diminish a bit…

So far, the conditions are not bad… The wind started to veer, and blocking yankee… the swell a bit shorter then I would like and a bit higher…. But besides that — the conditions are reasonable, and we keep moving…

So the Sun does too… Slowly going to the horizon on our starboard side. Though the sky is clean, I do not think we will see the green splash since there are too many waves….

Next way point — Peniche, Cabo Carvoeiro…

Talk to you soon,
M.
