Morning again... ;-)
( Yesterday night I've read Bowdich ( marine bible ), the chapter about the time and time keeping... Big mistake... ;-)
Number one, they explain the timing of rotation of Sun, Earth, Moon... to all those fractions of seconds,  explaining the approximations human are doing in regular life,  and consequences....
My mistake number one -- never read it before ging to bed, since you are going to have a headache guranteed...
Number two,  never read it when you do not have enough wine, or, like me now -- can not consume wine4
But regardless,  before reading that chapter -- about time  -- think carefully.  Usually, the Time is something what we consider as given solid and simple... We may not like it sometimes... But it is part of foundation for our Universe model...

At least it was for me,  until yesterday evening... Not any more... )

We are currently targetting the virtual point at 42:52N  009:27W. This point is a bit West from Cabo Finisterre...  We are still about 100 nm from it, as I'm printing...  But one thing  for sure -- computer suggests that we are closer to Spain then to Falmouth or even France...   Now all we need -- to get there...

The night was none-eventful... nearly.

I've been woken up at 0130  by the strange 'waker' -- something wrong...  And indeed -- silence and a small beeper confirmed that the engine -- which suppose to make some charge and keep up moving guranteed within the TSS --- is not runnig...
A quick check,  bleeding air...  motor running...   But I still do not understand why the air got there at first place... Probably -- as usual -- my faulty routine to change / to switch tanks...  Will look into that...
( I recalled the first air bleeding I did on that engine, with Catherine and Daniel, on the trip from Norfolk, in December 2016...  Make me laugh first -- I learned something since! ;-), and then,  when the engine started -- brought a lot of  warm feelings... Good old days!!! )

And -- of course -- the  weather...  Ok, I understand -- my instruments may be not working or not calibrated,   my computer may display the .grib files in  wrong way... I may be 'reading' all that information in wrong way...
My question is -- Why am I beating as every source says --  I should be in light winds but on the reach ?
Is it frustrating ?   You bet!   The only possitive thing ore can do out of it -- if you would like to confirm to Zen or convert to Buddism --- that  is the perfect training exercise on patience,  state of mind, etc...  Just before you start your transformation.

That is all for the morning.

Talk to you soon,
M.
