Utila – anchorage with mainland mountains in the background.
Dinghy stowed on foredeck, with the front half on spare halyard over the
fore hatch providing wind scoop and rain protection.
Crossing the bar – 9 boats headed for Livingstone; I started out first and
arrived last – as always!
Livingstone, Guatamala – can only be reached by boat.
Going up Rio Dulce – jungle forest and cliffs all the way – Homer’s Odyssey
in front of me
I took a photo of these herons perched in trees, they were everywhere and
the cicadas made a lot of noise.
and Gambit II the only boat now behind me.
Texan Bay – anchored for the night – how to build a house from
bamboo.
Wide, but shallow 15’ for 10 miles. Always mountains in the
background, but now I am on the mainland.
Settled in.
Walk the plank!
