It may not be obvious from our photos today, but the sailing has been challenging the past 24 hours.  A very dark and stormy night, 25kts gusting to 30kts with choppy waves and high swells.

“Sleep?  What sleep?” said Lesley.

The salon was the place to be, but sorry, Cathy gabbed that spot early.

Today we emerged out of the low but that meant very changeable winds; we have forgotten how many sail changes were made this afternoon.  Pole up, pole down , one side then the other, preventer on then off, genoa up genoa down ....

We are rewarded with another lovely evening.

STOP THE PRESSES!!!!!!!!!

..we interrupt this broadcast whilst we bring aboard another reward for patience, clever knotting of the the fishing line to the aft cleat and careful watching...

Bob G snagged another fantastic Mahi Mahi !!!!!!!!!

Meanwhile the porpoises have returned to our bow.

Having downloaded another set of GRIB files we’ll be heading further south to pick up what promises to be stronger winds to push us west.
We’ll pass NW of the Verdes. It’s a shame because we wanted to cut the corner off – oh well.

John tuned the watermaker ON this morning
..oops! forgot to turn the sea cock ON
Being a smart watermaker the electronic promptly turned itself OFF and leaving John to figure out his mistake for 10 minutes.
The bright side is that’ll never happen again!

..more tomorrow if we can move after eating all this fish!
