Bodrum.

The winds were perfect and we anchored in the busy bay next to the town.  We then a took the dingy for the short ride to a cute restaurant that backed directly on to the bay.  The super dinner was accompanied by a laser show drawing on the nearby cliffs telling everyone about the ultimate disco in town.
Little did we know …

At 2.30am the two completing outdoor discos were still introducing new guest singers on to the stage! Of course ALL of the boats in the bay 1km out needed to know that! Although we all went to bed Jean & John met in the cockpit at 4am with a cup of tea to carry on their boogying! The music was just beginning to be turned down (there are bylaws that require the noise to be turned down to half volume at 3.3am  J).
Bodrum was fun anchorage.
Perhaps it will be taking over the mantle from Ibiza for Europe’s party town central. In a funny way we wouldn’t have wanted to have missed it.
Bodrum is a fun town!
