January 22

Less than 200 miles to go

The first hour of January  22 arrived with less than 200 nautical miles to go.  We could taste the rum punch on the horizon!

Winds built up beautifully with steady 15 to 20 knots for almost 20 continuous hours.  We set the Genoa for a deep broad reach, had a couple of course adjustments as we tracked alternately north then south of our line and it was a beautiful sail.

Timeless officially logged her 10,000 mile point (with known under reading  of the logmeter, John estimated that the actual number is closer to 11,500).
Our cautious anticipation for completion of the voyage was building !!

Night was clear with gorgeous stars and 3/4 moon.
