We tour the island of Ibiza (1)

The next day we hired a car and covered pretty well the whole island.
Although
the island isn’t that large there are many interesting little sandy coves,
dramatic cliffs and coffee shops to stop at everywhere. Ibiza
has two large mountains across it which give way to fertile valleys. This the
thing that most struck us – Ibiza is really quite green.
We
had a nice lunch in one of the little towns inland.
People were right to encourage us to visit the island.
John
is maintaining the boat today. We
leave tomorrow for Majorca via one of the cute anchorages on the north east
coast that we noticed as we toured the island the other day. Majorca isn’t
really that far to sail but it is one of those distances that mean you either
have to set out or arrive in the dark. Neither of these choices are good news
for places that are unknown to you so we have decided to anchor overnight a
short distance along and take 2 days over the trip. |
