of us wanted Suzan to fell ill again.
Bob had really got the line ashore business down to a finely tuned procedure just like a brain surgeon would perform and so yet another opportunity could not be missed! Perfection! Got it right again with even less effort. It’s not easy getting off a dingy against jagged rocks, securing the dingy, then tying and adjusting the line – all before a 27 tonne sailboat comes comes roaring back to shore.
There was a Tarzan rope right beside us. Why hadn’t we seen it before! Yes, lots of people from neighboring gullets and sailboats came over and had a go. Mind you, because of that we met some fellow Canadians who having seen our Canadian flag flying came to talk to us about Tim Horton’s coffee (or lack of it), the Maple Leafs and maple syrup. High cliffs surround ‘Tomb Bay’ and as you would expect, tombs are carved in the cliffs amongst the spectacular scenery.
There was no wind today so we had to motor the short distance to the marina back in Gocek. Ha! This was good for Suzan but I’m sure Bob would have loved a last sail. |
