8am Fiji time (9am NZ time) babelfish ties up at Opua customs wharf

Babelfish arrived and checked in.  We had to wait about an hour, and then the process took an hour, as 4 different people conducted customs, immigration and agriculture, during which all fresh, refrig and frozen meat (in our case chicken) vegys, fruit, egg (we had one), garlic (we had a kilo) was confiscated.  We have now refueled and tied up for 2 nights.

It is now noon NZ time

Babelfish is nearing the end of its 2007 journey; 8000 miles from LA, to Hawaii, Tahiti, Tonga, Fiji and here, in NZ.  Another 120 miles to Auckland and some cruising during Christmas/

More reflections later
