We’d forgotten just how good it is to be in the 1st world – clean streets, healthy and loved animals, well stocked supermarkets, free wifi...all those things we’d missed in Cuba. Fernandina Beach in northern Florida was a fantastic place to land with friendly customs officers who issued us a Cruising Permit with no fuss and few questions. We spent 10 days just chilling out in Fernandina, enjoying the cafe scene again and catching up on news from home.
