Sailing off the coast of Cassblanca (think Rick’s Cafe) in 10 knots of wind – close hauled and Bandit making reasonable progress in large swells.  Mohammedia was interesting but not riveting…..think we’ve had our fill of third world countries for a while!  Loved exploring the medinas in Rabat and Sale – we did a day trip up there by train.  Also enjoyed buying beautiful hand painted tagine dishes and bowls.  Provisioning was a delight – all the fruit and veges we need for the four day sale to the Canaries for less than $5.  And the selection of spices, herbs, dried fruit and nuts was mind boggling.

Great to be out sailing again and David has the line out in anticipation.  Loads of fishing boats around the coast so surely they’ll be a stray tuna somewhere?

An afternoon snooze may be in order as we head into the first of three nights at sea before making landfall in the Canaries.
