We´ve made it to Spain. We left Falmouth at 0900 on Tuesday 2nd August and
arrived at La Coruna at 1800 on Friday 5th. Brad and Hayden Hurst, who
sailed their boat, Windharp, all the way to the Caribbean and back a
couple of years ago, joined us as extra crew. And both were an enormous
help. We sailed most of the 487 miles. There were good NE or E winds.
One night we had to motor. And there were strong winds as we approached
the Spanish coast - gusting 33. Before setting off we had a couple of
great evenings with Tim´s cousin Rob, who lives near Feoch, and his
partner Jane and her daughter Isobel. Rob was also a great help fixing a
problem with the stop-cocks before we set off. More details to follow.
