Tamarisk

A few pictures from Las Palmas...we are due to leave at 1300 tomorrow.

At the moment, the forecast is for a fairly deep low to come close to the
Canaries in the middle of next week. If that looks capable of coming South
in tomorrow´s forecasts we will think about postponing.

We loaded the fruit and veg today and did some final jobs on the boat
including going up the mast. Still a bit more stowing to do but most jobs
done. (NB Tom, we have tightened all bolts on Hydrovane.)

So I hope next report will be from a fairly calm Atlantic.

Meanwhile...

Anna and Eddie catching up on Star Wars
Tamarisk sporting more flags than are strictly necessary
One of the more multi-talented of the many berth-seekers around
ARC children´s party
One of our stronger rivals
ARC opening ceremony - the ARC´s British boss is in the blazer, the
Canaries minister for Culture and Sport has the hair
Don Pedro´s dinghy race - part of the build-up
Fancy dress party
Anna is Carmen Miranda
Giles Middleton, our extra crew
Tamarisk´s full Atlantic crew plus our mark
