On from La Coruna

We waved goodbye to Brad and Hayden on a wet Wednesday morning in La
Coruna and then headed South. There was a bit of fog and a light westerly
wind as we left but it cleared as we got offshore and eventually the wind
swung north. We did 52 miles (about half under engine) to Camarinas - a
small fishing village in one of the High Rias. There we met Blue Marlin
and one or two other boats we´d seen in La Coruna. Thursday we spent on
the beach. We wished we´d come out of the marina and anchored off the
beach but we were too late to sort it out. The water is still pretty cold
for swimming.

Friday we did another 45 or so miles South, this time with plenty of wind
behind us, past Cape Finisterre to Porto Sin. There´s another newish
marina and club here with good facilities amid great scenery. There´s a
short walk through the pine forest to a beach from the marina. On Saturday
we took the bus to Santiago de Compostela. More details to follow.
Tomorrow we plan to go on either to Sangenjo or straight to Bayona.

enlarge this on your computer and, yes, my Spanish would be even worse
than their English
