Last day in Moorea today. Indeed we will be returning to Tahiti tomorrow. Mike spoke to Constance at Marina Taina who will be expecting us tomorrow afternoon. Audrey and Didier will unfortunately be leaving on Sunday.  Mike will spend time reassembling the watermaker and as soon as that problem is fixed, we will more likely come back here in Moorea. We like it here.

We hired a car yesterday and went round the island. We saw some beautiful scenery, went to the Lycee Agricole located in beautiful grounds and bought 2 jam jars made by the students, one of citron marmalade and one of carambole jam. We saw an archaeological site in the middle of the jungle where we were attacked by an army of mosquitoes! We did a little souvenir shopping, went to the Beachcomber Intercontinental Hotel to watch the dolphins and their Turtle rescue centre. Lunch was a picnic of baguette, saucisson and cheese on a marvellous spot overlooking the Sofitel just opposite the island of Tahiti. The water within the reef was an amazing turquoise colour.

Then in the evening we went for dinner in a little beach restaurant owned by (a very drunk) Corsican not far from where we are anchored.

A grey windy day today but warm.

All well onboard.

Photos attached.

Love

Catherine and Mike
