The EJ's Voyage

Arrived in Falmouth, Maine, yesterday afternoon. No wind at all so had to motor all the way from Boothbay. Again beautiful trip through Casco bay with so many islands -360 of them!- dolphins, seals, birds. Always something to see. And millions of lobster pots to avoid of course!

Picked up a buoy off Portland Yacht Club. Because of our size, the Harbourmaster put us on one of the largest buoy with lots of room to swing but it means that we are the furthest possible away from land. We understand why he did this as in the early hours of the morning Tropical Storm DANNY started showing its effects. Heavy showers, gale force winds, choppy sea. So much so that the Yacht Club has stopped any launch service so we are stranded on board! Too rough for a dinghy ride. So we have spent the morning so far having breakfast in bed reading books.
The Harbormaster called us on our mobile to check that we were ok and also said that the weather will turn worse this afternoon. So we'll see!
However, we are ok so far. Will let you know how we are getting on.
Hugs
