We have done it again! Another trans-ocean passage under our belt!

We have arrived at Hiva Oa at 8 o'clock this morning.! Technically speaking it took us 20 days and a half to cross the 3000nm Pacific ocean.

All in all it was a good passage. Actually the worst was last night. We had to slow down the boat in order to arrive by daylight but got caught in a bad weather front with 30kts gusts of wind and even though we only had the staysail up we were flying at 5,5kts! Anyway, it is all behind us now and we are very happy to be here.

This island is magnificent. Very dramatic rock formations but at the same time very green. People seem lovely and everywhere is so clean and pretty. Alain and Catherine from PULSION are here too. We will go touring the island together on Sunday with a guide we just hired. We are very much looking forward to that.

We are exhausted, especially our Captain who once again sailed us through this passage safely. He is the best!

Early to bed tonight. Will tell you more when less tired...

Love
Mike and Catherine
