After the eventful day we had yesterday, we took it easy today. Well, half the day was taken by putting the overall awning back on, blow up the dinghy and putting back in the water etc.

We had quite a few rain showers today but it is a lovely evening now. The seals are all over the place making noises and trying to climb on everything they can find. They are so cute!

The sea withdrew from the bay yesterday with the first tsunami wave and with the sea level rose by 1.5m with the second wave. We didn't witness this of course as we were waiting out at sea. The village people had been evacuated to the highest mountain but no damage was caused to the village. So all in all, all is well here in Galapagos.

We are going out to dinner on PULSION tonight. That's Alain and Catherine's boat, our French friends we met in Colon. Their cousin has caught a 15kg tuna last night which they are cooking tonight. I have made a tomato salad and a banana cake.

Busy social calendar as tomorrow night it is Dan and Yo of JACANA, our Australian friends met in Panama, who are coming to dinner to us.

Hope to weather will be better tomorrow so we can go to the beach and swim with the turtles.

A plus tard....

Love
Mike and Catherine
