Here we are, back in Fiji!
The last two months at home have been busy. We actually only spent very little time in our house but travelled around to Scotland, Brighton, Belgium and even went to Germany for a fun bicycling weekend with friends. The weather has been wonderful and the Isle of Man looked at its best. It was good to meet baby George, our 3rd grandson who is just gorgeous and to see all the other boys and girls in Brighton and Belgium. Mike’s Mum is now settled in her new Brighton home.

Arrived back in Fiji last Wednesday after the usual very long trip. 5 hours transit time in Seoul didn’t make it easier but all went well in the end.

We landed in Fiji under a cloudy sky which in a way was great because the heat wasn’t so intense. FALBALA was in good shape and we were very pleased to see her looking so good.

A front came and went bringing heavy tropical rain showers and 25 to 30 knots of wind. Since then the sun has returned and it is very hot indeed.

The marina is very full. Our boat has been squeezed in between two boats and we can no longer reach the little pontoon which makes going on and off the boat somewhat difficult. The marina people brought us a ancient wooden ladder flimsily attached to the quay and we use our dinghy to reach it. Mike’s foot went through one of the step, that’s how antiquated this ladder is!

We are putting the boat back together in order to be ready for Karen and Jonathan’s arrival next Friday.

So all good here.
