Christmas celebrations are over! It was lovely to be with Aimee and her little family. Nim is just adorable. We had a lovely Christmas lunch of beautifully cooked ham and then went to Aimee and Richard friends house for the afternoon and dinner. We experienced the true Kiwi hospitality. It was a hot and sunny day. Not really Christmas weather for us actually! some photos attached.

The drive down from Nelson through St Arnaud and then the west coast was full of amazing sceneries. Lakes, wild coast and interesting rock formations. We spent the night in Greymouth. Nothing much to report about the place! But the next day we took the Arthur's Pass to go to Darfield and that was again a pretty drive through the ski resorts. The top of the mountains are still covered with snow which is, we are told, unusual for this time of year.

Today we are off to Queenstown. It is very overcast but the sun is due to come out again tomorrow.

Hope you will enjoy the photos!

Bye for now.
