We are in Tahiti!!!!

The sea passage from Tuamotus was not enjoyable at all. Not enough wind and big sea, so it was very uncomfortable. We had to motor sail the whole way. But by 4pm yesterday we were at the entrance of the Tahiti pass. There is a huge coral reef but the pass is well buoyed. It follows the airport strip so we had to ask Papetee Port authorities permission to go through. All good and easy.

By 4.30pm we were at Marina Taina. We are squeezed in between 2 other boats. Only 1 pleasant French man living on the boat to our port and nobody on the one on our starboard side. We are very happy to be here. Mike turned the airconditioning on last night. What a luxury to have our cabin nice and cool. We even got cold during the night!

We will rent a car from tomorrow. Today is boat cleaning day to get rid of all the salt on deck!

The landscape is beautiful. Very high rugged montains.

3 years since we left home and the Isle of Man and now we are here! Thanks to my super captain who always got us everywhere safely!

More tomorrow!

Love

Cat and Mike
