After such a good start, frustration has taken place on board Falbala! The engine battery still hasn't been delivered but has been promised for today. We will believe it when we see it! we are obviously very eager to know if that really was the cause of the engine failure.

 

Most of the electronic equipment seem to be in good working order, including our Iridium phone. However, the fridge/freezer do not want to start and the autopilot, weather fax and gps don't work. Looks like an electrical fault so we are waiting for an electrician to turn up.

 

The canvas guy came last Friday for the first fitting of our deck awning. It looks awsome and we could feel such a difference in temperature down below when it was up. He went away to finish it and we should have it by Friday. Can't wait. It won't only protect us from the sun but also from the rain showers which means that we will then be able to leave the hatches opened even when it rains.

 

So we have some satisfying moments, like when Mike fixed the generator and our precious electric toilet, and some depressing ones with our fridge and autopilot etc.

 

Missing our families and especially our little Jay.
