Hello,  Hello ...7pm boat time on Thursday evening.  We're all so excited at being a mere 166 miles away from our next way point that we have 'anticipated' our first beer and cracked a can each with our chicken curry.  Today proved to be a very pleasant change in that we could move around without fear of being thrown about.
As happens to be the way of things, we have transitioned from very high winds and confused seas and big waves to relative calm and are now motor sailing.  We should start to expect having to share 'our' ocean too fairly soon, although we did have a strange encounter with a yacht called Happy Snapper last night whose skipper was either drunk or asleep, given the very worrying meandering course it was taking, so we just steered clear until either sobriety/wakefulness took charge.
Spain isn't looking at all sunny thus far...grey clouds for most of the day...are we in The Solent Skipper?
Oh - we saw a whale earlier on, blowing away and then it breached a few times - thankfully not an Orca and it was heading away from us...so that was today's highlight.
More anon - No 2.
PS:  Sean the Loquacious has gone to bed as he has the midnight to 3am watch.
