We are back on board Allegria with a plan to sail her over the pond to northern Spain. Of course plans are one thing and real life seems to be very different as you will know if you have read previous entries on this blog. We didn't manage to complete the last plan and sail to Antigua. Fingers crossed, there is always hope.

Lynn and I flew out here on the 13th May and have been preparing frantically ever since. Allegria was launched on the 16th and most systems seem to be working. We are working through any problems, the latest being that one of the davits for the dinghy decided not to work yesterday.

We have had a break from the work as Lynn and I went back to Washington last Sunday to pick up Sean, Lynn's brother, on Monday. We had a lovely time staying overnight in a very expensive hotel on Pennsylvania Ave but our near neighbour in the White House didn't invite us round. We saw all the major sights and spent a lovely couple of hours in the National Portrait Galley learning about US Presidents

Socially things have been very good as Paul and Babs on Lyra Magna are here in the same marina and we spent a lovely evening on board their boat yesterday. A really excellent dinner.

Back to work now as we need to be ready as we are hopeful about leaving this week.
