another lovely day, calm seas, blue skies, sunshine
and precious little wind! Skipper declared it a sunbathing day -
which didn't prevent the ususal sail changes in an effort to catch every bit of
puff. Still, we are in the company of other ARC boats, and one lost
soul appears to be following us. Tailgating? from what we hear on the ARC
Fleet SSB Transmissions which we can pick up with varying degrees of clarity -
light winds everywhere and some boats are motoring. Our American fellow
ARCers are no doubt glad of conditions as they celebrate Thanksgiving - full
blown turkey roast dinners - not sure Allegria's gallery could cope with that!
Everyone has adjusted to the watch system it seems
and deals with the "graveyard" shifts in their own way - I was bopping to Queen
and Sanata at midnight....but only on my toes as I don't think Sue n Terry would
have appreciated proper elephant dancing above the aft cabin. The finale was a
silent rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone" - lip synching mid Atlantic -
who'da thought it
