Matt got himself organised to depart for his flight to London at 13:00, overnight there then back to Perth on the 31st. We walked over to a nearby restaurant and had breakfast, Matt departing by taxi at 10:45. He was fantastic company and great crew. Very safety conscious and aware.
I had organised, via Google and email whilst on the leg from Menorca to Palma, a marine mechanical group, Ocean ServIce Yacht Repairs to come to the boat to replace the failed Jefa autopilot drive. Very prompt response, they came to the boat at midday and completed the work in good time, including replacing an ABB 240v breaker. Similarly, I had organised a pick up and retun delivery to launder all the bed linen, mattress covers, and other laundry. Anton came at 2pm and will return Saturday 1st August.
I started on a long list of detailed cleaning and maintenance. Corroded hinges, loose toilet seats etc. Over the coming days I will work through the boat from bow to stern.
