On the final 36NM to Siracusa, Sicily. Winds swung around from the north to the south, 15kns apparent at up to 60 degrees onbthe port bow providing a good motor sail at 8.8nts. ETA around 19:00.
Today we completed a couple of repairs. Firstly, replaced the bottled gas isolation solenoid that had failed last season. This switches the gas off in the exterior gas bottle hatch to eliminate any possible gas leak inside the boat. Secondly, repaired a minor
diesel fuel leak on the starboard fuel tank, where the fuel return line enters the tank.
