05:45    Dave and I set out in the dinghy on a search and recovery mission to find two sets of prescription glasses at the bottom of the fishing harbour, where we both lost them over board the previous evening. I donned the flippers and snorkel and in two short dives in oily water, Dave spotting from above, retrieved both pairs of glasses. Back to the boat just after 6am. Absolute jag once again.

07:15    Weighed anchor and set off under motor in millpond conditions. At anchor off Roccella Ionica in open water, an uncomfortable swell. We could not access the marina due to a sandbar with depths less than 2.5m.
