Weighed anchor at 9:53am and departed the Maddalena Islands, setting a 36NM course for Isola Rossa. Motor sailed west between Sardinia and Corsica then south west towards Isola Rossa. The winds were our back so we poled out the Genoa for a comfortable down
wind run, anchoring in bay near the marina at 3pm.
Catherine and Matt had a swim, then after a drink aboard we took the dinghy, tied off in the marina and walked the promenade to check out the many restaurants and shops. Good vibe and an extensive sandy beach. We had dinner at a foreshore taverna, with a local
Vermentino white wine, renowned Sardinian white wine. Back to the boat, watched Luke Littler win the World Darts Matchpay semifinal then hit the back. Winds swung onshore overnight which made for an uncomfortable sleep in the small rolling swell.
Calm seas at sunset, onshore breeze later in the evening made for an uncomfortable sleep.
