Weighed anchor and departed 9am after a very disturbed sleep due to variable strong winds overnight at Cala Gonone. Set a course for Olbia, again into variable northerly winds so motor sail. I had upgraded the Axiom mfd software and unfortunately lost the autorouting
function as my chart subscription had lapsed. Absolute pain to update online. So manual routing required until I get it sorted. Managed to get a good run under sail when we turned to the north east and then east into Olbia, arriving at 16:30. We first refuelled
at the fuel jetty at Marina Olbia, our first refuel since departing Preveza. We were down to about a 1/4 in each tank. Unfortunately, Catherine's phone slipped over aboard at the fuel jetty in 4m of murky water. Despite attempts with a strong magnet on a light
rope and then me diving to try and locate it, no luck. Firstly, the visibility was about 1/2m and the bottom was uneven rocks. If I had a scuba tank, maybe.
We jagged a berth in the marina after a phone call to the office, whereas when we tried online yesterday there were no berths. Tied up stern-to with lead lines. We had dinner ashore at the marina taverna then back to the boat for an early night.
