Catherine left Westralia at 4:45am to catch a flight out of Menorca back home. Great to have her on board again,  always up for the challenge and contributes so much on the long legs. Matt and I cast off from the Quay around 5:30 and set a 100NM course to Palma. With the autopilot out of action we shared time on the helm at around 2 hours at a time. Light following winds and minimal swell, under motor. As we approached the southern point of Mallorca and then bearing WNW we had light reaching to broad reaching winds so set the main and genoa, motor sailing 8.5 to 9 knots SOG.

We arrived in Palma at 17:30, made our way to a berth at Marina Porto De Mallorca and tied off stern-to. Incredibly expensive but looking at the mass of boats in all the various marinas, the supply and demand equation drives the price! Matt and I put a couple of loads of washing on, had a beer then took the Bromptons for a run to a very good nearby restaurant. I will be here until 13 August, Julie  and Mick Gavrilovic arrive 11 August.
