This morning I took the dinghy across to the light marine industrial area to source some bits and pieces from the Nautica shop. Managed to slip on some rocks tying the dinghy incurring grazed shins, so no swimming for the next week! We had a light breakfast
ashore then I paid the berth fees, €168, not too bad. I was last here in 2015!
Midday we departed the marina, again motored sailed into light northerly winds heading up to Porto Cervo, the location of Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast). Unfortunately anchoring in the bay is not permitted. Berthing in the quays was not an option, full of mega
motor yachts. So we motored out of Porto Cervo and laid anchor in a bay 0.7NM north, along with several other boats. Everyone had a good long swim, except me as I need to give my wounds time to heal. After a GnT we then headed into Porto Cervo. Literally hundreds
of millions of dollars in super yachts lined up.
We toured the very well designed and built Costa Smeralda village, full of high end restaurants and ritzy shops that you see in the high end of Paris!
Had one drink at a shore bar, $50 per cocktail!. Walked into the village and had a good meal at one of the many restaurants. Back to the boat around 10pm.
Many superyachts
Very attractive restaurant and shopping precinct.
