Still pleasant sailing

Bit of a chop yesterday as the wind moved round ahead of us, creating confused seas, but it quickly calmed down overnight as the wind settled in the east and we sailed on a broad reach in 15 knot wind through the night and this morning. So all good. Sailing somewhat to west of our direct course to give us a better wind angle as wind goes round behind us this evening---gybe-ho—and veers SW becoming W with maybe a bit of north for the next couple of days. Nice sunny day, but noticeably cooler at night---we are now well out of the tropics—may need fleece tonight, soon long trousers. Bit of a shock!! Passing Bahamas 180 miles to our west—missing it all---bloody Chinese virus! |
