Well the Indian Ocean has a reputation for heavy seas, and over the last 18 hours we’ve found out why the reputation is well earned. The winds are ok, and we are heavily reefed, but the seas are amongst the least comfortable I’ve

experienced—it’s like being in a washing machine. And the forecasts suggest another 36 hours of this!! All is well, Simanderal is coping well and we are coping—just!! But this is one part of the passage we’ll be glad to put behind us!
