An uneventful 24 hours. After yesterdays rain and spells of poor wind, last night and today have been fine and dry, with a steady trade wind out of the east southeast. So we progress along our track

with 500 miles done and 1200 to go to Mayotte. Our provisions are holding out well, we still have a freezer full of fish and enough rice and pasta to keep an Italian Chinaman happy for quite a while.

Indeed with no squalls so far today, meals have become the main point of interest! And we’re getting through the books at a fast rate—need to restock the kindles when we next hit a decent
