Took bus again into Lefkas and went staright to
Vodafone shop only to have a repeat performance of the same saga 'system
down'.We asked the assistant that she need not worry as all we wanted to do was
to pay for the month and when we got to Corfu we would cancel the contract there
before leaving Greek waters.On hearing this she said that that was not possible
as we needed to give 1 months notice to close the contract. Mark went on to
explain that only 3 days ago we were told in this same shop that that was
not necessary as we were buying the 'mifi'.Trying to remain calm and not get too
annoyed we said how was anyone able to cancel something within a time frame when
their system always seems to be down.Eventually a manager was called and he
realised where the fault lay and was then able to give us a hand written form
stating that we had cancelled our contract within the given
time!!!!
The whole thing seems such a farce as we will be
using Vodafone in Italy and will need to get a pay as you go card for the
internet!!!!!
