Took the bus to Lefkas to try again to cancel
our vodafone internet contract as we can only use it in
Greece!!!

On arrival we went staright to Vodafone to sort out
our contract.This was not to be a simple procedure as we were soon to
discover.First we were told that the'system was down' but would be up and
running within the hour so could we come back later? We agreed and said we would
give them some extra time and come back in 2hrs.
We took the opportunity to check out the water
facilities at the town quay as we would be passing through Lefkas to go to
Preveza, our next stop.
Lefkas is a quaint town with a reasonable amount of
hardware stores and supermarkets.The town quay is pleasant just to sit at one of
the waterside cafes and people watch which is what we did as it was a lovely
sunny day.
We went back 2 hrs later to Vodafone to find that
the 'system was still down'.Mark was able to speak to one of the technicians, as
'the system down' seems to be all to regular an occurrence and he informed us
that we did not need to bother cancelling our contract until 3 days before our
departure from Greece as we would be purchasing the'mifi' gadget.
We were a little surprised as we were led to
believe that normally you needed to give 1 months notice.
We decided that as we would be returning to
Lefkas in a couple of days time to complete our victualling that that was when we would stop into
Vodafone again to finalise things or at least pay for the last month of our
contract.
