42:07.214'N 8:50.634'W After a
nights crossing with little sleep arrived Bayona early morning 24th October. It
seems the Spanish are continually in Siesta mode as nothing opens until 10 am
even the marina office!! After having to wait a while were able to berth up
where we were the subject of mucho local curiosity, in a nice way.
Weather warm but a continual cold
breeze to remind us that we are still in the north.
Taking off tomorrow early in the morning around 4am
to do another 10 hr crossing to Lexios just before Porto to stock up on odd
bottle of port or two!!
Anyone that is interested in this part of the world
interesting walks, nice cafes and old city to amble around..Marina has reasonable
facilities.
Columbus was sited from here in the Pinta
bearing news that he had discovered, what he thought was the West
Indies, but turned out to be the future developers of Big Mac and
Microsoft!!
