This morning found a someone who I could compare my
meter reading with his who believes is accurate. A couple a various states
batteries located and some comparison voltages taken. My meter appeared to under
read by 0.16vdc. With that in mind and correcting the battery monitor by 0.6 -
0.7 vdc upwards the house batteries appear to still be good. Tonight I shall
leave the fridge on overnight and do a physical check on the battery and compare
voltage with monitor. If voltage difference is still in the same error and the
meter voltage appears to be consistent with the amount of discharge I would
expect then will relax about batteries and always add the difference to battery
monitor information and ignore the indication it gives about %
left.
Looked further at the knock we had on the bow from the
anchor where the fibreglass was showing through. The tape had broken and looked
like it may be getting wet so have sealed it with the same nail varnish used for
the hull damage last October in Foz, as that has not eroded its way off.
Bow will need more regular inspections as cutting through the water and
seaweed.
As mentioned yesterday, the unRegatta around Bequia we
shall being doing tomorrow with a 10.15 start. As not a race and distance around
Island about 15 miles will just do it wit white sails. Something to look forward
to.
