Left Port Louis this morning and had a glorious sail
down to Prickly Bay, just 10 miles, in sunshine, 15-20 knots on the beam
initially with a beat last 2.5 miles also it is pleasantly warm at 28
degrees C. The bay is full of yachts, which came as a big surprise, over half
are long term stayers or home anchorage. Also I was surprised about the amount
on mooring balls down. We anchored in 5 meters not too far from the shore.
Anchor held on 1st go which is a really unusual occurrence for me. I do hope
after a few more goes before end of April I may get the hang of it.
Boat already back in living mode and not the sailing
one.
Aft locker area still dry, so better than last few
trips, probably was rudder boot for most of the water.
As on anchor and no plans to go ashore today probably be
a bottle of Rum Punch later.
