                | Another sunny warm day to contend with whilst carrying
out maintenance and inspections. Today was the start of the ARC+ which was in very light
winds. I wonder how many are already under engine on their way to Verdes
Islands. Today have been up the mast looking for any signs of
wear and damage and lubricated pulleys and fitting as needed. No damage or wear
identified so no further mast climb before race start.      'U' bolt replaced for starboard
check stay     Life ring bracket repaired and
refitted     Emergency VHF antenna on rear
pushpit straightened      Back stay anti chafe strips put
on to protect solar panel and Biminis frame     Biminis cover fitted to
frame     Aft main locker emptied and
dried out. The bilge pump in there not working, serviced and replaced flapper
valves. Serviceable Tomorrow we expect to be asked to move to where the ARC+
boats were. Tomorrow we shall check all our Category 1 safety items are in place
as we have an inspection on Wednesday morning. |
