There was quite dense fog this morning and it persisted longer than forecast. We moved over to the fuel berth to top up tank, but then waited more than half an hour for service, and the whole procedure took a full hour. However, as we were only planning a 4 mile trip, and the visibility was improving steadily this was only mildly frustrating.

We motored round to Oban and moored up in the relatively new North Pier Pontoons facility. Nice hot showers then shopping and provisioning. We are planning to stay here until Friday as we have a whisky tasting booked at Oban distillery on Thursday. We will then head north towards the Caledonian Canal.
