We left Conwy last night at high water (7pm). As forecast, initially there was not much wind, but it soon filled in from the ESE and then E and we had a perfect night sail past the southern tip of the |Isle of Man and then across the Irish sea to Bangor via the Donaghadee sound. Chris did the night (or more correctly twilight) watch and I took over at dawn. Fortunately the forecast nocturnal rain showers did not appear and we arrived in blazing sunshine in the late morning. We will explore after we catch up on a little sleep.
