We set of under another clear blue sunny sky - the weather is now more normal with temperatures approaching 30 during the day.

The wind that has been around for the last four or five days, although slowly abating, was still enough to have a pleasant sail from Ischia passed the Island of Procida - which looked very pretty and a destination for our return trip - then turning SE across to bay of Naples. We had a good view of the city of Naples in the distance and then Mount Vesuvius.

Arriving at Sorrento we couldn't quite understand that whilst the pilot book said the harbour had 150 berths but we could only see three mast. Well it turned out that there was a guest quay for about 10 yachts and all the rest were little motor boats. Luckily we were in early as by 6.00pm the guest quay was full.

Being in early we had a nice afternoon strolling around Sorrento - Some very grand hotels with a 1920's elegance. Having said that we found it to be full of foreign tourists and not really like the more 'Italian' places we have been to the last few stops.

We are staying here another day so we can do the tourist bit - Pompei etc.
